I really enjoyed this book. It's packed with useful information and I did pick up a couple of things I didn't already know, despite being very widely read on this topic. The book stresses important stuff repeatedly, is very accessible and easy to understand, and it covers just about every possible bowel complaint.
I decided to try slippery elm bark with ground linseed after reading this book and found the combination very beneficial. I'd used linseed before and I'd heard about slippery elm, but it was the book that convinced me that using the two together might have a beneficial synergystic effect.
The book is heavily focused on supplements, which can be pricy and that might be off-putting, but even if you just try a handful of inexpensive ideas in combination, you might get pleasing results. I'm glad I did.
A very worthwhile read. The only thing I would say, is some things like getting vitamin B12 from parsley and greens was something I'd not come across before and was pretty skeptical about. Investigations showed that greens are a very unreliable source of this essential vitamin. It makes me think it's worth double checking some of the claims in the book if you think they don't sound quite right. But overall, it's a helpful read for anyone with digestive issues.
